Well a short 2 months later and she has arrived and is gorgeous. Loaded up with OEM accessories and has been a blast to drive. Finally I can start enjoying what I won.

Yes bag has the car cover in it. The cargo liner is one of my favorite parts and yes it has the rear seat covers just hard to see. The bra will be coming off this is just how I took delivery of it. Couldn't be more happier with everything, I drove one GD one time and didn't like it. This model blows it away. Getting the feel for the 6MT and this will be a fun car once I've settled in. One downside is having to turn VSA off everytime I drive so its more of a 2 button start.
Weird?????
Why, your not driving one anyways. Its now a Fiesta, isnt' it????
Besides, the OP got it for FREE. That's one thing most of us won't come across everyday.
Gotta let guys enjoy themselves.
Had a GD for 8 yrs. and I loved every moment of it but I never added anything. Am having a "ball" dressing up my current GK and if they ever come out with a GL, GM, GN......................GX, I'll accept the new changes and still enjoy it. Its all accepting the changes this world will continue to have year after year!!!

Why? Do they not really protect the front end from pebbles, etc.? Or do they trap condensation underneath (I always thought that might be a problem with car covers too)?
free? ask him after he does his 2014 taxes how "free" it was...
direct hit, sure. but, the problem is that dust/dirt get stuck under them, and the bra tends to grind it into the paint. if you have a bra, you need to remove it frequently and clean underneath. too much work imho, especially with the 3m technology of today.

The GK is not a better driver's car than the GD.
Also, Ms. 410b and I currently own two Fits...so I guess you could say I put my money where my mouth was.
i agree with you there.
i disagree with you on this point. haven driven dozens of GE/GD, the car did not excite me. i have a fast fun long commute (30k yearly), so i will get bored if i was driving, say, a first gen nissan versa...
i purchased a 12' kia rio over the GD because it was faster, thus more fun. after 70k and a multitude of quality issues, i ditched it for a GK. i feel the GK has more of a viceral feel compared to previous gens, thus the main reason i purchased one. steering is excellent, and stock tires are ok, and dont need to be tossed immediately. unlike others, i enjoy the gearing, and find it is excellent for rowing the "box". the intake/engine noise at speed is much better then before, and it is WAY louder then my kia. I like hearing the motor at speed, so i dont have to mind the tach so much.
archaic, congrats again. wait till you get used to the GK clutch, then get in your s2k... wifey drove ours for a few weeks, then took out our s2k, and she immediately said "something is wrong with the clutch, it is sooo stiff...."

Better Driver's car than the GD? Where did I ever post that I find the GK better to drive? Can't help it if I love owning one. At the very minimum, my words are from an actual ownership experience.

currently own 2 Fits??? Thought you went the Fiesta route from your previous signature. Now that your back with Fits, you must have seen the "light". Welcome back!!!

umm, you cannot compare a cable activated shifter with a real shifter bolted directly into the transmission. feel is radically different between the two, but honda does a decent job with the cable unit.
Thank you.
The oem bra will only be used for long road trips. I do plan on getting some sort of 3m clear bra that way when it's not on my paint still has some protection.
And for the person comparing a 5.0 to a fit. I also have a S2000 which by far has the best shifter feel in any car. And to compare against the GK 6MT I actually really like how the fit shifts and feels. Everything is smooth and is obviously geared for better gas mileage which is ok for me. The fit is not a sports car it doesn't need a sport gearing ratio. Buy a racecar like I did if you want that.
