Windshield Washer Reservoir Cap
Windshield Washer Reservoir Cap
Hi Everyone,
Just curious if you could help me out. I lost my windshield washer fluid cap. It is at a gas station somewhere, tragic story I know...
I just wanted to know what the diameter of the opening is to buy a new one. I'm having the hardest time finding a replacement. I found one on Ebay but they would like $30. Call me cheap but I feel like the item should be around 1/3 the cost.
Any measurements would help. Thanks a bunch,
BarnFit

How did you misplace your cap?! Or how did it even come off in the first place?! Have you tried looking at a dealership's website or calling one to find out how much it would be? If all else fails you could always just use some duct tape to cover it.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Right now I'm using a plastic bag and elastic. The solution works fine. I'm just thinking that maybe throwing $10 at the problem wouldn't hurt.
How did I lose it? To be quite honest I don't really know. I feel like the cap slipped out while I was refilling and I left it somewhere resting in the engine bay. I'm guessing it slipped through while I was driving. Mind you this was around a year ago, the details are vague in my mind.

. Just buy a replacement for 5 bucks at your local dealer.
