Fit SI...I'm probably just losing my mind.

So I'll begin this story back in 2002 when I saw my first EP3 Civic SI. At the time I was driving a 1995 Volvo 850 and was familar with the import scene but was to wrapped up in my studies to care. I continued to go through cars and trucks until It came to the point where I decided I wanted a little hatchback. This was it I thought I'm gonna go ahead and get that SI that I've been dreaming about. Well this was all well and good until I actually started looking at them. The year was 2006 and the EP3 hatch had long been retired Iwas combing used Honda car lots looking for a car. I found myself at Goodson honda looking at a very blue SI. The car seemed perfect. I liked the sport look to it, 16" wheels, dual tip muffler, racing inspired seats, huge interior! The car was pretty much mine until I saw that damn Fit! That Blaze orange Fit sitting so pompusly infront of the showroom doors making a point of blocking my enterance to the sales offices..."Look at me!" it taunted..."I'm small on the outside and sooo big inside", "I get 35city and 38hwy what does that SI do that I don't and I HAVE 4 doors"
I had to hand it to the fit...it made a strong argument.
The SI had the sporty seats and looks but the fit was lighter on it's feet...and making due with 50 less hp the little car still made a decent effort to scoot about. The 4 doors were also something the SI could not offer...I had to choose. Practicality and nimbler handling or more power, less mpg, and more comfortable seats.
I choose the Fit..but I wanted a sports feel.
I immediately started looking...at this point my lifted Toyota tundra was on it's way to Arizona and I was bumming rides from friends and family.
I finally got a deal established with Sterling-McCall on a Black Sport with the 16" HFP wheels. The price was fair and I NEEDED a car...so I bit.
I LOVE IT..but its just a little bland..I want sporty...the seats just don't do that for me. So I started looking for SI seats. I at first came up nill but found an EP3 muffler...which I bought and will install this next week. I found some SI seats but I have to wait until I can budget them in or heads will roll.

So LONG story short:
I bought a Fit even though I love the EP3 SI
I want to put SI stuff in and on my Fit.
I don't want to call it a FIT SI or anything just like the look of the SI.
I want SI seats and Muffler and stuff....

Am I being "rice" or is this actually pretty cool.

I'll update this thread once I get the muffler on...so it won't go completely to spoils.

fix up your car how YOU like it.. Dont care what other people think. There are plenty of people who do seat swaps. I think it will probably look decent. The only thing I see that might look odd is the seats might be a little tall in the fit. But who knows.

yeah the seats would look awesome in the Fit, I wouldn't do it myself because i like to put the car into "Dirty Mode" hehe

Iam sure the Fit will become the next CRX so... in a year or so.. you will have anything you could ever want for your car.. right now things are abit on the expensive side I think.. just wait.

the ep3 was a major disapointment imo. You would be better off getting an ls/vtec eg.

Its almost the slowest Si made. Modded ones at my track run a 15s at best. And thats almost every mod. Yes, driver mod is to blame although I dont think thats fully it. Ive driven them before, modded and stock. The car is a dog.

The only thing Id put on my car from the EP3 is the OEM muffler. Pretty sweet looking. Maybe the seats?

Well, that's what I was saying.
I want the seats and muffler.
The seats won't be too tall and I don't really mind losing refresh mode because I'm to tall to really utilize refresh mode anyway. (two people end up with a very limited range of motion....
BUT another big issue that I neglected to address...

Will the airbags on the SI seats still work and if they do go off will it be a safety hazard because they were designed for a different shaped car...I still want my side curtain airbags.
