Post MY 2008 1.5 And what i love, hate and dont know and whats next

Hello everybody, this is my 2008 fit GD1 MT
I just got it for 2 weeks and so far im pleased with it.

Here are some pictures of him (Its name is "Moby Dick")

Engine came with 70k miles on it and it looks, sounds, and performs good to me.

I love how small and funny is to drive around the city and its storage cargo is awesome (magic seats?) I took it for a route trip to a next town and i was like WOW here is funny And gas mileage dramatically increased. Thats nice.

I HATE this crappy stereo.

I hate some cable freeplay or deadzone or whatever it is on CLUTCH pedal.
Easily, is 2" higher and it feels your always pressing it but you dont until you push a little more and found the working clutch again. What to do then?

I bought some doormats and it feels a little better now but its still too high that my foot aches on a traffic jam.

I dont know what to do with this wear....suggestions?

NEXT
Id like some rear spoiler like most of USDM I really do. Nothing fancy, just like the stock one. Where to get it?
This article inspires me to do something like it
Honda Fit Power Pages - Import Tuner Magazine

Worth it?
Wheres the hidden power on this little car come from? (Not really a fan of turbos)

Thnx again for your time
Alex H

You have a nice blank canvas to work with and 70K is on the lower side in terms of mileage. With the upgrades on the power pages article you posted, the Fit will be a bit faster. Overall it will still be on the slower side though, unless you supercharger or turbo it.

You might be better off spending the money on making it look and handle better, especially if its your DD and your not going to be racing it.

As to what you could do next? Some windows visors, tint, body lip kit, and spoiler as you mentioned. That would make a huge difference to the exterior style.

Im on it atm but dollar exchange rate is way too expensive for me so i have to be patient and wait a month or so.
Im working with the local market and i may find wheels, tints, radios, alarms and in a long shot the parts needed for the Sidi SRI.
And as for the powerpages parts it has to be later on.

Over here you wont see any big engines like in USA. Most of them come from SUVs like Honda, Mazda, Jeep, Toyota. Some 2.0 being the ford focus the one packing 160hp on a 2.0 engine but most of domestic cars are between 1.0 to 1.6cc so that gives the me the chance to have a fast and funny little car

At this moment im just pissed about that clutch being too high. I cant get the proper timing and feeling while shifting.

Thnx again

You can get power if you just get hondata along with an intake, header, exhaust.

If you want to get a spoiler, try getting one used, it'll save you a lot. Since you don't like the pedals, try getting something to cover them like mugen and other brands.

I would suggest lowering the car so it'll look better

Im just getting into the full exhaust systems for this car. I'd go a silent or close to stock one, like some apexi i saw on youtube the other day: performance and sound pretty much like stock, of course you cant hide the intake sound wich is nice anyway, that roar .
Hondata, didnt know it. IM ON IT now.

I've been looking for a used spoiler but nobody seems to have one for sell and im not sure about fitting.
What i hate about pedals is just the clutch being above the others like 2" and i guess that isnt right.
Sadly, lowering isnt a good option cuz there are several bumps or some big speed reducers and you have to pass over em and lower cars keep scratching on them all the time.

I have a GD3 so we are in the same ball park, I added a full DC Sport cat back exhaust w/silencer and it produced a little more rumble but definitely nothing loud. I had a short ram intake which gave me that roar when i hit the accelerator, but I switched it to a cold air intake. I lost the noise but gained some power, especially in the higher RPMs. I also added headers and a downpipe which has definitely made a difference. I'm waiting on my flashpro to help bring it all together.

you need to update your bumper to a 1.5s bumper. then the lip you're looking at is a mugen lip.... both can be found pretty easily with some homework.

Jasper is correct, the flashpro is a must for moding our cars. I actually ordered mine last week, can't wait to get it hooked up and see what it does with my mods

There ya go, we all had to start somewhere.. mine was intake, exhaust, shift pedals, and a shift knob (the stock one was brutal!)
