How can you see the coolant level on the 2015 FIT?

I watched an online video of under the hood of a 2015 FIT. The coolant reserve tank appears to be far down. Can barely see the lid of the reserve tank. Doesn't appear that you can see the level of coolant remaining.

It's explained in the book that comes with Fits.

It's my biggest pet peeve about the car. It's almost impossible to see. I park the car where it's bright and shake the plastic container and try to see the sloshing.

You just pop the cap, and shine a small flashlight down into the tank. Easy to see the level then.

Sheesh! The things some of you find to complain about....

I thought this was known all over the world by everyone?
Just: Stick a flash light into the top and it'll show? Hmph, it even works better at night! :P

Not if you haven't owned a car in 35 years. I'll try that.

I've owned a car for 2 years ^_^
But yes, it's a neat trick and it works for any bottle type thing.
You can use it with the power steering, brake fluid, etc.

I finally got to look under the hood of a 2015 FIT. You can see the level of coolant in the reserve tank by standing near the passenger side front tire.

A light makes it a lot easer, but you don't have to open the cap. Just put the light against the translucent top of the reservoir and the level will clearly show on the side.
