2008 SRS light on

Ok my 2008 Fit Sport auto trans the SRS (supplement restraint system) or air bag light. It was coming on and off for a while and now its on constantly. I found this link

https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/grea...corrosion.html

and I never got any recall for mine. BUT Iam in the USA, Buffalo NY. I always were my seat belt so not real worried about if the air bag works. I think airbags are dangerous and can cause more harm than good. Assuming you were your seat belt. BUT lets not talk get sidetracked on airbags.

Any way has anyone fixed this problem on there own. I haven't yet looked under the seats to see if I can see some type or connection problem. I don't want to spend alot of money as I hoping to get a new car in the next few months. Have to fix before I trade car in as iam sure that will lower value of trade in if light is on.

solved

Ok after searching online about hondas in general and the SRS light I took a look under both front seats. Found the yellow connector disconnected it and reconnected it on both front seats. SRS light now works normally were it comes on when you first start car but then goes off. So it looks like it just doesn't get a good connection at that yellow connector under the seats. Hopefully it will stay off for a while at least.
