My wife and I purchased a 2008 Honda Fit about 6 months ago, and we have really enjoyed the car. Sadly she was in a accident last week that resulted in damage to the front end, which resulted in a totaled car.

Here is the problem; When we bought the car, we search high and low to find a car of the condition that we wanted. I will be honest, the car is immaculate and has been very well taken care of for its age. I feel we gave a below average price (when comparing to other local sales), but the cars they have used for Comparable Value are much higher mileage and different overall condition/features.

My goal now is to make a offer and compare local cars of more similar condition, and then do the mileage and adjustment calculations.

Seems as many of the 2008 Honda Fit Sports they are comparing don't have Sun Roofs. Was a Sun Roof a standard feature on all sports?

 

Depending on your market a first gen may have a sun roof or possibly panoramic roof... US and Canada spec Fits however do NOT come with sunroofs PERIOD.

If one was installed, it was aftermarket.

The roof we had would lift up 2-3 inches in back, or it would slide back into the roof. Controls were above center mirror. It honestly looked to be factory.

Would it have a different name?

 

That's not an OEM piece.

I can say if it was on an 07-08 or 09-11 (as pictured in your link, if you have that...you don't have an 08), 12-13...it was not stock.

 

My '08 was just totaled as well. My understanding is that sunroof, navi and leather were never factory options, at least in the US anyway. Other markets may differ.

 

Again, all US and Canadian Fits had fixed/solid roofs... until the 2015/GK5 gen came out. If there is some form of sun/moon/panoramic roof then it is an aftermarket unit.
