2015 Fit Rear (hatch) door panel removal?

How do you remove the rear trim panel on the hatch for the 2015 fit series?

someone backed into the hatch and dented it just slightly, evidently while I was in walmart (I am beginning to hate that place). It should be able to be popped out just by pressing the other side, so I need to get the panel off

I have done a search on here, a search with site:fitfreak.net via google, and a generic google search using several search terms with no luck.

there is the recessed well that I assume is a hand hold for opening or closing the hatch that must come out, and I assume it pops out, but have had no luck so far carefully trying to get it to come out. then the trim panel itself is one solid piece with no noticable places to start even trying to pop clips.

Again I have looked for a guide, pic, anything but nothing is obvious on where pop clips would be.

Also I don't know if I will be dealing with reusable or replacement necessary clips.

Anyone experienced with this? Thanks

Search YouTube for videos about installing LED brake pillar lights. I remember one person showing how the panel comes off the hatch.

Thanks I did search custom license plate lights but didn't get anyluck.. I did a generic search per your suggestion on google. I think this might be the one you referred to:

I set it to start right at the point he begins discussing the panel. This way if anyone else needs to do this and finds this thread, hopefully they have their answer.

Thanks again.

Edit:
evidently the forum autoformatting decided to do something diffferently than the start point I specified when selecting the share option. anyways, just after 2 mins (2.07 or 2.08 or so) starts the part where he discusses removing the panel

PS
After I watched the video, I got the cover off, popped out the dent, & replaced the cover all less than 5 mins. Awesome

How to Remove 15-20 Fit (3rd Gen) Tailgate Lift Panel

I came across this question when I wanted to switch Tailgate Lift Panel on my 2020 Fit and didn't find any detailed answers. I'm posting this for future reference. My steps are based on the
  1. Remove the cap for the rear windshield wiper and unscrew bolt (10mm).
  2. Lift the wiper and rotate/rock/wiggle the arm until it becomes loose and slides away from the liftgate.
  3. Remove the Interior liftgate panel (see:
). I found it easier to start on the corners.
  4. Using a pry tool, pop the 6 tabs securing the panel to the body out. They can be black, white, or green depending on the year/trim. 2 are on either side of the Honda emblem, 2 are about halfway to the outer edge, and last 2 are near the edge of the panel. Guessed locations based in diagram from Honda OE - Rear Liftgate Finish Panel
    1. NOTE: On the 3rd Generation there is no screw to remove before prying/popping out the liftgate panel tabs.
  5. Using an 8mm socket, unscrew the 2 outer bolts securing the panel to the body.
  6. Once all 8 locations have been released, you should be able to pull the panel off of the tailgate body.
