New guy looking at where to buy a Fit

Hi everyone, new to this forum and the fit.

im shopping around for a daily driver, since my evo has been my DD for the last 2 years. figured the fit would be nice.

anywhere around the bay i should go to, dealer wise, and which dealer to watch out for?

thanks in advance

Dave

Good to see another guy from SJ, welcome to the forum.

First I would stay away from the place where I got my fit, so stay away from Capital Honda...esp Tom Loi.

About a week ago at Steven Creek Honda, the lot was full of the 09 fits. IMO anyone there is quite good, but the guy, want to look for is Malachy Smith because (at the time) he doesn't know a lot about the fit, when I test drove the 09 fits. So you may get below msrp. Personally I would go there. Of course there is few place I heard good things from my friends, like Anderson Honda.

If your willing to drive or fly to South Cali, I would say PM our very own "jdmchris.com" or Ask "Manxman" where he got his 09.

P.S if you need Malachy's number, just PM.

Val Strough Honda, Seaside (Monterey). No mark up on any car. They had 4 more Fit Sports in stock when I bought mine on 10/29. Troy O'Shann in the Internet Sales Mgr.
$17580. is MSRP for Sport Auto.

I got a good deal at Gilroy Honda last February. I paid a couple hundred under MSRP, you may want to check them out.

I got a great deal a week ago at Gilroy Honda. They were shitty at first, but made up for it big time. If you want, I can put in the good word for you with the salesman that came through for me.

whats the "Out The Door" price at Gilroy?

MSRP:
Fit Sport auto - $16,910
Fit Sport w/Nav auto - $18,760 (personally not seeing the worth of an extra $2k)

exl tax/fees

Before buying my used '07 Sport this weekend, I checked 4 local dealers for an AT Sport. They are all asking $17580.

South Bay Honda
Honda of Stevens Creek
Gilroy Honda
Sam Linder Cadillac Honda

Gilroy Honda said they might be able to go a couple hundred lower.

Good luck!

just test drove one this morning at Stevens Creek. AT/Nav. not bad for a little commuter car.

This shows you how circumstances alter cases. During Labor Day weekend of '07, 18 Honda dealers all over NorCal, including all of the dealers in winkydink's post, were charging MSRP plus either $2000-3000. mark up, or at least $500. mark up plus mandatory $1500. in accessories.

BTW, my quote was without nav. I agree it's a great little commuter car.
