This is Ridiculous

So recently, I have purchased an 2009 SSM Honda Fit MT, and I am planning to lower it. I already bought Tanabe DF210's. However I have had some trouble finding a shop that would do it for me. In total I called 4 shops, and out of those four shops 2 asked why in the world would I lower my fit, and out of those four 1 shop just basically laughed at me and straight up hung up the phone, and one flat out said that they wouldn't do it.

As a paying customer, I am absolutely PISSED at how shops are treating me. So after looking for a shop, I basically have to ask the forums if anyone knows a shop in the bay area (preferably around the san jose/ milpitas area) that is reputable and would be willing to take my money and lower my goddang fit already!

Unless you can find a shop that actually works on tuners you most likely will not find anyone in a "normal" run of the mill " car shop". They don't have a clue and that is why they will not help you out. I was lucky and found a shop that does all the normal stuff but had a few guys who work there that wrench on their own cars and were not worried when the installation instructions were all in Japanese. I am sure some Freaks from your area might be able to help you out but that is one modifcation that alot of people do on their own but if you can find some guys who know their way around a car they could help you out and get them installed.

Let us see your car when you get it dropped.

go to a tuner shop. But yeah dude seriously do it yourself. Find one of your Honda buddies to help you. The rears literally are 2 bolts, the upper mount and the lower, strut drops out, spring drops out. Replace spring with new, bolt strut back up. The fronts take maybe 30 minutes total if you don't BS and support the control arms

don't be such a wuss and do it yourself. think of it as a way to bond with your car. just make sure that everything goes back where they belong.

^+1 try Auto Innovations in milpitas.
They installed my Progress springs and then later Skunk2 Pro-C coilovers. Also does alignment which is recommended after lowering. Does great work at reasonable prices. Ask for Orlando.

Both Steve and Orlando are great guys, if they can't do, they often make recommendations to other shops.

That is stupid how the shops acted! Do they not know that we will come on here and bash on them??

Honestly, suspension products are the only parts I wont "DIY" because the vehicle should be raised so the weight is distributed evenly and etc.

At least you got a couple recommendations and hope the leads work out for you!
