Wha' chu lookin' at?
I've been approached by people young and old about my fit. How do I like it, is that a fit, is it roomy... lots of questions. One time I picked my car up from a lot in seattle and there was this couple standing there staring at my, dirty, fit and when the lot attendant opened the door (indoor lot), the blue feet lights i had installed they loved. "Look at the blue! Look at the headroom! Thats got alot of room" were their comments.
Had a nice looking young woman pull up next to me in a white fit sport about a week after i got my fit, she had me roll down her window and said, "nice car" lol.
And, whenever I see a fit, I try my best, especially when driving mine, to get alongside it and give the driver a nod or thumbs up.

What does FIT stand for?
After putting the squeeze on me by moving onto the right shoulder at a red light (leaving about 6 inches between us) - a guy in a pick up wanted to know what F-I-T stood for.
I said "Fit"
Yeah, but what does it stand for?
It's such a cool car he said!
I said "well everything fits!"
He said so "cool" again (old guy too!) and the light turned so he was left to imagine was FIT really stood for!
I have people come over in mall lots to ask about it and get lots of stares as I drive - I have only seen 2 others in this city of 400,000 since July when I got mine.

Yeah, I did notice that too, but I'd already clicked the "Submit" button.
.
I have a lot of xA, Yaris and Versa owners say that they wish they got a Fit. They said they didn't even know about it and why doesn't honda make huuge commercials for 'em like their cars. I told 'em their not many in production and how difficult it is to get one sometimes. So demand is high with low supply and no need to advertise. They where seriously sad that they didn't even knew about 'em.
I honk whenever I see another orange fit, or a modded out fit of a different color.
I've responded to this thread before but this just happened today. I wanted to get gas and check my tire pressure so I visited a different gas (Chevron) station in my neighborhood. I pulled up to gas and the owner of the station came out to see if I wanted him to pump or do it myself. I said I would do it myself if that was OK and he said sure thing. He started looking at my car and said what kind of Honda is that. Another older man walked up and said wow that is candy apple red. Then they started asking me about the car, how much the mpg were and they could not believe how much room it had inside. I explained how they were made in Japan and sent over via a boat. The older man said why do they call it a Fit - because everything fits in a Fit! After I had pumped in my 12.85 worth of gas, I asked if I could use his air and he said yeah just pull up and I'll get it for you. He asked me how much for the tire and I said 32 to 34 but he still opened the door to check on the sticker - he laughed and said now this isn't going to be in Japanese is it? He did the air for me which was a little low and they kept asking me questions the whole time. Then the guys in the bay had a car up on the lift and I heard one of them say I can't believe that is a Honda.
The older guy said well I guess that is Honda's answer to the Matrix and I said no not really that the Fit has been on the Asian market for several years but just a few years made available in the USA. Of course the owner of the gas station had to show me a Pontiac Vibe that had rear ended a Chevy S-10 doing over $7000.00 in damage to the Vibe and only $600.00 worth of damage to the S-10. Guess he was trying to tell me that I better not rear end anyone.
