any socal locals dropped on skunk2 or swift springs?

so it boiled down to these two. i love the look of the skunk2's, and i've heard the least amount of negative posts about them. I like the swift's, because of the conservative drop, and apparent "stock-like" ride. from tiffany's pictures though, the drop is a bit too conservative for what I'm looking for as far as the "looks" factor is concerned.

with that being said, are there any local fitfreakers that are dropped on either of those setups, that I can meet with? I'd like to get a feel for the ride before I take the plunge. Also, I really want to get an idea of what I'll be getting in to, since I have a long commute (110+ miles) everyday, even on the weekends. Also, there seems to be a $100-$150 price difference between the two, so, you know.

I live in the Riverside/Moreno Valley area, but work in Irvine. It'd be nice to meet some of the cool peeps on the board, too, since I'm here for the long run!

btw-if I didn't have other shit going on, I would have been at Eibach over the weekend, and I'm sure I would've seen exactly what I'm looking for.

Where in irvine do you work? Skunk2s are the most common drop in the oc area, in my opinion. And there are a couple of people in the oc area with skunk2s and i know of only 1 in irvine.

i think i'll just roll to a local meet sometime. who knows, maybe i'll see something else i like!

I LOVE the way the skunk2's look, but I'm just worried about the ride. All I see are posts like "yeah, you'll rub with stock wheels" or "no, i don't rub" or "you shouldn't rub". I know the only way to get a definitive answer is to try if for myself. I'm thinking more and more that the swift drop is not enough for my liking. Sure, they may ride better, but they're $300. I might as well get coilovers and call it a day. I don't autox or track, so a good blend of comfort and looks is what I'm looking for. maybe a bit more on the "looks" side, but not too much.

thanks guys!

man...its all about the tires. choose the right tire, and you will be set.

i dont see how people rub with skunk2's on the stock wheels.
