Lets keep it Alive!!!!
hey guys,
i'm borrowing some really nice gear for my trip up to NorCal:
85mm f/1.4
70-200mm f/2.8
10.5mm f/??
17-55mm f/2.8
sb-800
i'm going to get an sb-800 but am debating between the 17-55mm and the 85mm. i'll likely end up getting both in due time, but not sure which to get first. the 10.5mm is fun to just mess around with.
i learned some great tips and stuff about my camera last night - got some tutoring from the friend i'm borrowing gear from. he used to shoot professionally; all this gear is just barely scratching the surface of all of the various lenses and other stuff he has.
hopefully i'll be snapping off lots of pics up north over the next few days.
fit is staying put in SoCal though. i'll probably try using the fisheye on it when i get back. the other car is sitting on jackstands in a not-too-pretty state right now, hogging up the garage. poor fit is stuck outside.

i'm going to buy a DSLR some time during summer. my p/s is fun, but a decent DSLR and an army of lenses would make me happier

your Fit is on stands? what happened

but the sb-800 makes good shots look even better.
definitely looking for a tripod. a tripod and sb-800 will be my next two purchases as far as the camera goes. then comes new glass

hm.. did i forget anything? what recession? haha
oh yea.. and new inner and outer tie rods too. i think that does it.

lol yea, i realize this - after my buddy explained some things to me, i realized it's not that i NEED an sb-800, it's that i didnt even know some of the options/features on my camera existed

But a tripod is must for all photographer.... a good set of leg is something worth investing.
depending on how much you are willing to spend I can recommend a lot of legs...but I would say do not buy those $10 to $30 legs.
