Given the choice of a new MX5 Miata, which costs about $22,000, or a used S2000, which would you choose? The Miata is cheaper but also has about 70 less horsepower. But a used S2000 might be a risky purchase, considering it's a sports car and was likely driven roughly. I don't care that the Miata is considered a girls car - I mean, many people call the Fit a girls car. Leaving styling aside, which is the better vehicle??

Any advice you can give me?

well the s2k is an awesome car... but you do put up a good point on the "driven roughly"

and s2ks would be targeted more by the shady types, thieves/haters n such...

and apparently the miata is one of the 10 top best cars to insure...
Safety agency lists best, worst cars to insure- Yahoo! Autos Article Page

but yeah... it'd still be a hard decision for me.. so i'd say get whatever you like better you're the one that has to live with the decision anyway..

Don't laugh, but personally I would get the Genesis Coupe 2.0T. It's $22k also.

I actually love the genesis coupe. It's one of the cars that has made me the most excited in the past year or so. But if I got one, I'd want to get the V6 model, then turbo it. Right now tho, I think I want a little roadster.

We'll see what happens.

So that's why Car's and Coffee was offsite... To make up for it, they opened a private road off of Ortega Hwy just past Casper's Park. What a blast! 5-7 miles of supertwisty hills! There wasn't a lot of cars on display (60ish?) but the road up and back was a blast! Although following my buddy's GT500 Mustang was impossible on the straights.... They charged $10 and gave a cool goody bag of stuff (hats, keychains, mother's products, leatherman tool). There was a new Porsche Panamerica (looked heavy), some new tricked out Camaros, some Astons, Ferrarris, Lambos, etc. Fun morning!

That's not true. Take it from me dude i've owned the 50 1.4 and the 1.8 as well. I found myself to never use f/2 or lower and considering the cost i sold it. I then got the 1.8 and only thing i hate is that it feels cheap and noisy motor. But I love it and have owned it for almost 2 year with no issues. i've tooken it around the world twice and has been in the middle east 3 times. Yeah, they will last but just don't drop it cause it's plastic.
I actually had the 50 1.4 at the mega meet in SD a while back.

So I've raised $500 from blu-ray sales so far!!! 50D here I come!

The 7D is soooo tempting though. From the pics I've seen it really is great at noise control even up to 3200.

The price isn't my friend though.

I should have my 50D by the end of Oct. Will have:
50D
50mm 1.8
8gb
maybe the grip by too.

What's a good place for a cheap generic battery?

I got tired of having to worry about it before going to work so off it went! I've done 0 before and gone full bald. #1 is prolly the best. DO IT.
