Put me down on the list!

Will this be tested on A/T?
Will my idle speed change?

AT/MT- the effect will be the same. It just controls the position of the butterfly valve in the throttle body, and allows it to open in a more synchronized fashion with the accelerator pedal position . I don't know, but will bet, that idle speed will not change because it is controlled by the ECU on info. from the throttle position sensor. But if it does change a little, who cares? If it changed a lot, Blitz couldn't sell the device under CA smog laws.

For everyone on the list, here's a little inside info. There were not enough people on the GB list for Mike (blitzusa) to be able to get a real GB discount from the makers in Japan. So Mike used his employee discount to order everything for the GB list. We are getting them at the wholesale price, and Mike isn't making any profit- selling at his cost.

Not only is he a very nice guy to do this, he's also a good businessman making a wise move. All of us buyers are not going to keep this mod a secret, and most other cars of any make with DBW throttles are potential customers for Blitz USA. One DBW car where the results aren't so good- Mazda RX8.

You're welcome! I thought that the info. was worth sharing. Not all vendors personally go "out on a limb" for such a small group of buyers. Mike is addicted to modding all of his 6 cars, so he knows how we feel about getting our hands on something new and unusual.

Here's more info. that I found on another site:
"Economy Mode": Designed to provide smooth throttle response for street driving, providing greater fuel efficiency". I don't know what that means- will find out when I get mine.

"Sport 1": Throttle is opened greater at lower revs compared to standard (stock), providing faster low down (means low RPM I guess) but with no modification once the revs increase. (Increas by how much? Won't know until I get mine).

"Sport 2": The throttle is opened at twice the rate of standard (stock) acceleration, designed for sport driving and circuit use.

"Sport 3": Extreme sport and circuit use. The throttle is opened at four times the standard (stock) accelerator action. Mike doesn't recommend this setting in parking lots, and says it can be dangerous when the trans is in reverse.

On this other web site talking about the Blitz product, it says that there is a "Reverse Cancel" wiring harness. This sounds like it might be a good thing to have.

JDMchris.com--- Thanks for restoring this thread, and putting it here in the SoCal sub forum was a good choice. This is where the OP should have put it in the first place, but he didn't know that. In his place, I wouldn't have thought of it either, particularly as a new member.
