Car Cover Question

Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you with car covers could recommend a good car cover for the Fit. My girlfriend finally got hers the other night and although I had planned on getting her some lowering springs as a surprise for her birthday, she asked for a car cover (since it will be parked outside). What I'm looking for is something that's soft on the inside so it won't scratch the patch (obviously) but it needs to be weather proof as well. Also, custom fit...to the Fit. Need it to be snug.

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions you guys provide.

Oem?

Go to college hills or bernardi Honda and order the one Honda makes specifically for the fit. It's less than $200 but I don't remember exactly.

Are those weather proof though? Because I'm guessing it's like the S2000 which I've heard is a great cover, but it's not weather proof.

i have one, but i don't know who makes it. the cover's rolled up right now in the back of my car, the next time i put it on i'll take a look at the tag.

mine is UV proof, water resistant, yet breathable. it's pretty awesome, actually. and it fits perfectly.

What do you mean by "weather proof"?

That's about what I'm looking for. Something that can withstand rain and won't just soak it up but won't wear out from the sun. Let me know when you can Burbio, no rush really as her bday is couple months off.

Thanks again for the help guys.

You will get what you want from the OEM Honda Fit cover. But all covers get wet in the rain- then, what will you do with your wet cover? Your paint won't be damaged by rain, just by bird crap, tree sap, and UV & heat from the sun. The cover does a good job against all of the damaging elements, but you would be better off not to use it when you know rain is coming.

sorry it's taken so long for me to get back to you on this. my car cover doesn't have a tag on it saying who made it, which is weird, but it has a tag saying what it's made of, which is NOAH. you want your cover to be made out of this NOAH stuff, it's UV proof, water resistant, etc etc. go to www.covercraft.com to see more, i don't know if they sell covers from that site specifically, but it'll link you to a site that will.

That's actually who my friend had recommended. Said it had the best UV protection and they have one that protects against rain. Thanks for getting back to me.

How's it working out for you?

really well. i can only use it when my car is clean, tho, because if you use it when the car is dirty, the cover gets dirty and every time you put it on your car it will either make it dirty and/or scratch it with the dirt. but it's nice, i had it covered when we had a dust storm a few months ago, and while everyone else's cars looked like crap mine looked pretty good afterwards. and it fits perfectly.

Yeah, I at least dusted it with a Cali duster on my last car and some detailing spray if necesary before I put the cover on, but it keeps it looking great.

Nice quote btw, talking about the S600 <3 that car
