Didn't look to bad Jason. I agree let the insurance handle (that's what you have it for).

and no on the rear lip/bumper wouldn't look right.

the damage isn't as bad as i originally thought when i first read this thread. everyone pointed out that a body shop could fix the gouge, no prob -- if you choose to go that route. IMO, you should wait till you've got the full Fugen (fugen reference VIA gimme ) lip kit and get it painted/mounted all together. Fugen rear lip on OEM side skirts/front lip would be fail.

eh yeah, when we first got our car, my dad accdiently back into a stucco wall and now we have a giant scratch on the passenger side of the car, we just left it. b/c we don't really care that much. i guess it looks unique ya know. at least people can spot your car! haha so if you see an SSM with a giant gash on the right side you'll know its me!

time to upgrade in my opinion... get an aftermarket bumper or just live with it. its not worth paying the premium on your insurance to fix a scratch. try touch-up paint.

to cover that hole well, the lip will prob have to be slightly angled, with the damage side higher. But i'll have to take it to a body shop to tell 4 sure overall it looks like wont be too bad

i dont know if you can tell but the left side is sitting slightly higher, it might have to stay that way to cover the hole

No do not angle it. The lines will be off and it will look half assed. When they put the lip on they can fill the hole sand it down and then put the lip on.

i dont know what i did but when i got it home, i stuck it on dead even! The guy at honda fit tuner said i'd prolly just have to make a few cuts near the exhaust outlet on the kit and it'll even out no problem.

oh i forgot to add, i had spoken to a body shop and they told me they could fix the hole - but cracking may occur after 2-3 years since the bumper has a tendency to flex and bondo/fillers are usually hard

^ cause you're not suppose to use bondo for plastic bumper.
There're plastic repair materials they can use.
Body shop should know that.
I wouldn't trust any place that doesn't know that.
