FckFail'dFckedUpMyCar :(

so i was having a bad day so my friends decided to cheer me up! We had lunch and stopped for some boba!!! While leaving boba... We were all chillin in the car thinking where else to go and this M3 circles and slows down behind me like 4 times... im thinking he wants my spot so i start backing up. As im backing up i'm making sure that he doesnt hit me cuz he's pretty close to my car... All the sudden he revs his car so im more like wtf and then he honks simultaneously as i back up into a camry that was also backing up...

We both pulled back to our spots and came out. I asked the girl if she was okay cuz she was pregnant and the guy in the M3 walks by and says "its both of your faults, you should have been looking!" Then he talks smack on my car that it's WEAK and that the camry was fine. Then my friends said while we were leaving he said "They still hit after i honked!"... he honked like 0.000001 secs before we collided...........

we (camry owner and I) both talked a bit and agreed we were confused by the circling M3... I thought he was letting me out and she thought he was letting her out cuz he was stopped by us. I didn't see her cuz the rear headrest blocked out her entire car and although i was looking back, most of my concentration was towards not hitting the damn M3

She wasn't too worried about getting insurance involved and i guess we agreed it was both our faults. I think the best thing to do now is get it privately fixed but i dont know if i should repair the bumper or replace it. I took it to a shop where they said a repair is possible but im afraid that it wont match or will show later on. Not gonna fix it there but i went to shady asian shops and they quoted 270 to fix and 550ish for a new bumper.... sigh* not a good day 4 me

edit* i'll try to post pix later but its nothing to scream over, Just a small hole and the tabs that connect the bumper to the wheel well area on one side look kinda bad

oh btw... i was gonna spend the day installing a 10' JL Audio Sub today that my cousin gave to me but i didnt cuz my dad threw it away last week without telling me... I didnt tell him about the car yet but he came home and laughed in my face about the subwoofer... FML man!

That sucks man.

Since you mentioned a hole in the bumper, I'd suggest replacing it. Any tears or holes in the bumper are usually write-offs for the insurance company, in my experience.

Don't worry, at least you and the Camry driver are safe and unharmed...and on good terms too. Your Fit's going to be fine

Just from an Insurance stand point, generally accidents like this that end up being called 50/50 at Fault, won't be charged against you. You wouldn't see a 6 month premium increase. You would just be responsible for your deductible and insurance would cover the rest. It's a lot easier to let insurance handle bodywork and rental cars then attempting to do this on your own. Plus again your only responsible for the deductible. If something comes up and the charges increase because they didn't notice something or whatever it still won't affect what you're going to pay.

Put a Hello Kitty bandaid or sticker off your choice over it and call it a day. Otherwise buy JDMChriss bumper and get it painted.
