Re: Bought TV from Amazon and got another TV...much better TV. What would u do?
i had my stepdad call shipping company same day to pick it up. I couldn't keep it. I don't feel like getting hit with karma. :/
But God was that TV a dream. Now my friend is like "you just reject a blessing from God Man, you're ****ing stuuuupeeedd". I'm like

No your friend is wrong, I think God is on your side with the decision you made.
also, 42" is just small enough to where you won't really able to tell the differnce. I already own that TV and it's a very very nice picture. Much better pic IMO than my LCD 1080P 120HZ. If you go 47" or bigger than 1080 is preffered but I honestly cannot tell the difference in a 42". Thats why I made a second purchase of same TV for my guest room.

I'd still prefer LCD because it doesn't lose any gas like plasma's and no burn in, but plasma of course has better contrast ratio and deeper blacks.
you can tell the different between 720p over 1080p...I need the eye of the true Home Theater Enthusiast!
older model of plasma like the first gen...yes but not newer models..

I'm not so sure. It used to be Plasmas would have an estimated life of like 8-10yrs but they have improved. Even so, I don't keep TV's longer than 5 years for upgrades.

Based on the above chart, since I have a 40" 1080P LCD, I should watch movies within 6-7 feet of my TV in order to get the most out of my viewing experience.
Of course my couch is just a hair over that from the TV
give me the tv.
