Thank you all for coming out! I had a really good time meeting and catching up with every one of you. The fits really came out in full force today! I counted 17 fits total that came in and out of the meet - that's something incredible! Also, one of our members one an award for the Cutest Car. Yes, it was our own dolphin/hello kitty boy, Jason. Hi everyone!

I just wanted to post up some information about a car show at UCI.
Some of you came out last year and had a good time chilling and eating some free food. haha.
I think we'll be getting more vendors this year, and more participants (motorcycles welcome!) but of course there's been cuts to our budget from the school that could affect parts of the event.

The event is completely free and will happen rain or shine.

The Important information:

What: Car/Motorcycle show

When: Feb. 27, 2010 - Saturday ~ 9:00 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Where: UCI, Lot 16H (the big parking lot on Bison Ave, between Campus Village housing and MSTB)

If you've got some free time to hang out for a few hours please come out! It's always great to see a bunch of colorful fits lined up in a row.

The car show's judging sheet can be download and printed now. You may fill it out in advance on the club's website, importsuci.com. Click on the link "Judging Sheet" underneath the car show information. Please print and fill out 2 copies. One goes to the club to evaluate and one goes on your windshield if you want your car to be judged. I have some blank copies on hand for those of you who cannot print them out yourselves.


Currently there are two groups. One group will meet at Cars N Coffee early in the morning, and head on over to In-N-Out afterwards. The other group will just meet at In-N-Out/KFC/TacoBell parking lot (address below). I highly suggest eating breakfast or bringing a snack with you before you come to the event.

I want to roll out together around 9 am, so please try to arrive no later than 9.

I'd appreciate getting a PM/thread post by the night of the 26th to confirm that you (plus guests) can attend. If you could include in your PM your name and/or number that'd be great. I will reply to your message with my own info. This is so I know how many people to expect to wait for at the In-N-Out parking lot before heading out.
I can receive calls and texts so if you need to be late or have some last minute plan changes, please feel free to contact me.


FYI - I am not an officer of Imports@UCI club and I am not the event coordinator. Feel free to post on this thread if you have questions or concerns or if you'd like to offer any services/ want to booth at the event and I will do my best to forward your contact information to the club.

I like how I go to this school and don't even know about upcoming events LOL!

 

Our school does a poor job of pushing events out to students...but that's ok...haha.

Just the performances on the flyer...you can sang in your car with the doors closed and windows up...haha. Hello Kitty is welcome though.

Just a little update I got for today.
Like last year it'll be first come first serve, so I won't be able to reserve spots.
It would be best to meet as a group somewhere prior to going into the show.
Last year we met at the University Town Center In-N-Out/KFC parking lot. Perhaps we should do the same again.
