SoCal FF Cyclists Thread

I know there's a few of us now.

I just got my bike Friday and broke it in with a short 10 miles Saturday. Then biked to church Sunday morning and back home after mass.

Here's my Trek Soho S

no real mods just flipped the stem.

this is a great tool. I also have a multi rescue tool i keep with me.

i love the look of the bike

this is my cheap ass walmart single speed (stock photo). $150 and i'm not worried if anyone steals it, not that anyone would lol. it gets me from a to b and the track frame is decent so i can build around it.

they won't have a floor model at most walmarts so just in case you don't get a chance to check it out beforehand know that the bike is heavy for a ss/fg. it's about 23-25 lbs, you'll need to true the wheels, adjust your brakes, and lube the bottom bracket before heading out. rides nice if you're just trying to get around. crank and hub ratio is decent, i can out pedal my friend who rides a cannondale supersix lol

metallic purple would be dope!! i want to paint mine too.. when i find the time for it my plan was to strip it down and paint the frame willow green, polish the fork, white tires, white bar tape, buy a new polished crankset, and white chain. hipster points for me, lol.

anybody want to organize a FF night ride?

I'm still relatively new to cycling, but this is the best way to exercise if you ask me. I used to go running all the time, until I started cycling - it's just better in every way, except cost.

My bike has too much orange. I only realized that after I put on the orange tires - should have gotten black or something. At least I'm wearing them out fast.

Sorry it hard... everybody is different and different riding style and different budget..For me, I do competitive cycling in road, mountain, and triathlon...so my recommendation will be different from someone trying to get to point A to point B or doing a 7-11 run down the street or those hipster. But if you need help in mechanic or fixing of bike or how to put bike together lay it on me.....
