Holy smokes! VQ is 50+ miles of steep ass climbs and rough and tumble descents of pain and suffering. I can at most ride for 30 miles max without making dumb mistakes.

Props out to your buddies that did VQ. Wish I had the time to train for such an event. I might just take up road riding too since it's good for cardio/stamina training. I just can't justify spending $5k+ for a carbon road bike and most roadies I've run into are jerks and kind of snobby.

Really excited about the bbq and meet. I felt awful last year for bailing out before the cruise. This time hoping to stay till the end of all events.

 

Thanks for all the good thoughts! I'm trailering my Fit over to Project Import in Orange tomorrow morning to have them look at it, and I think I'll try to come to the meet in the Accord... I'm craving Peter's BBQ Ribs and seeing some old faces! Looks like a good turn out and good weather!

I don't think I'll be making it guys. Discovered a crack/hole in my down pipe after hearing that my exhaust tone suddenly got louder as i was cruising on the freeway early yesterday evening. :-/
