Stereo install help wanted in Orange County

Hi, I've picked up a Sony single DIN deck and have the Scoche kit, honda harness and a Sony harness. Rather than research how this all goes together, if someone with some experience could lend a hand I'm sure we could get it done much faster. I live in Newport Beach, can come to you. Fine Biers or some bucks as payment, negotiable. Thanks.

super simple. color coding is your best friend. mate the sony harness with the honda aftermarket harness wuth either butt connectors or solder/heaat shrink, plug s harness into stereo and h harness to the h harness and badabing, done!

Most colors between the harnesses match but some do not. Some leads are taped together for some reason. One of the Sony leads has a tap in it. The antenna lead has an extra wire, I'm not sure where that goes on the unit. Etc. If all the colors matched I wouldn't feel too apprehensive about it.

I got the Honda side of the harness from another user on here that was planning on doing a stereo swap but never did, so I only have his word that it is a Fit harness. I guess I'd better go look it up.

The Sony harness has a red wire, but the Fit harness has a red and an orange wire. There's a couple other mismatches. What the leads go to doesn't help.

Paid a dude on CL to do it, turned out okay (forgot the metal fitting cage but we made it work without it.) Scoche almost fits flush with the dash. Mods you can lock or delete this thread.
