3rd Anniversary SoCal Fit Meet

Used a different lens than usual, turns out it has issues focusing in the dark so some of these are not as crisp as I'd wish but they're decent. The lens also struggles with flaring but that's what I get for getting an old model and not the new one that's 3 times more expensive. Just might have to upgrade if I don't learn to quickly and accurately manually focus lol. The focal length and the flaring does add some character to the shots though

On a brighter note, such a big turnout for our anniversary and that made me really happy

We will also be holding our third annual White Elephant gift exhange during this night

 

Gift Exchange rules:

After the success of last years event we are again going to have a gift exchange during our December meet

Info from last year:

What to do: Bring a wrapped $20-25 MAX dollar gift that is Honda/fit/car related to the next meet.

When is it: December 10th 8pm to Midnight

Who to tell: EVERYONE, invite all the honda fit lovers you know, even our non-fit brothers/sisters. Spread the word through instagram/facebook/twitter/smoke signal/telegraph...

What to buy: There is tons of things you can buy...but here are some ideas:

JDM air freshener
car themed license plate (simply clean/illest/stanceworks/evasive etc.)
Meguirs detailer spray/wax combo.
Honda t-shirt
car/honda lanyard (really want an illest lanyard )
broadway mirror
Valve stem caps (dice)
honda chrome keychain
led bulbs 194/168
password jdm license plate bolts
stickers of course
pair of fuzzy dice for the rear view mirror
stuffed animal driving buddy

just anything you would buy your fit that you think someone else might enjoy.

would y'all believe I'm back in a damn 2016 silver fit (what's even the chassis code for this one?) after ditching my 2009 silver GE8 almost 3 years ago. some kinda fate at work i guess

idk if i'm considered OG but i still head out to the meets occasionally. i might make it to this one depending on how my transition back home for winter break goes.

everyone back from The Hat meet days in Pasadena have moved on... i think i'm the only one that still has a fit from those days

Welcome back, we have a few guys coming up from SD to this meet!

I would consider you OG, Jason and Note still come to this meet occassionally too

I don't know if you remember Peter Pham who had a boosted GD but he used to work with me at my current employer and he used to organize meets way back in the day

 

Also, lets not all park on one side of the parking area anymore

We should be using both sides of the lot so that we can congregate easier

I won't be there until closer to 9pm so anyone who is there earlier please try to make sure we are parking on both sides

 

Perhaps we limit the hours of the meet so more people will come and stay at the time slot. The big window for time makes it sporadic... Some may come later...some may come earlier... If we limit the hours, we would all come around the same time... Just a thought...

 

I am an OG member since 2006 , I was the guy with the Custom K-Series Turbo GD3 , I just started to show up once in a while to these meets. I got rid of my custom K-series turbo set up to Felix from Canada. I still have my OG Blaze Orange Honda fit with low mileage 50,000. I am running another custom turbo setup now. A very new crowd now, but all very humble and nice people. I remember you use to show up with your BF with a Audii. I use to have to leave quick due to my GF working and myself. You should make an appearance, it was my first at there old location. Very Nice Location. I might go.

 

You have a dope GD, please feel free to park closer to us this time. I want to see more of your car

The gift exhange will happen after we get Boba/food so maybe around 9:30pm

Other than that I don't like putting limits on time since several people have to work or are coming from far areas and might only be able to attend during the later hours

That being said, everyone normally spends the most time at the meet during the 8:30pm to 10:30pm range and if someone leaves before or arrives after that range they will miss most of the group

 

So estimated Time for White Elephant exchange is 9:30ish?

Ill be there at 8pm with the cookie!
