Rustproofing in the middle of winter?

Hey fellas,

So, I'm getting my Fit this Saturday, and my concern is with the recent storm here in the GTA, the roads are a wee-bit salty. Is it a good idea to get the car rustproofed now, or should I just wait until the summer time. Thinking of using Krown yearly, btw.

Thanks

Don't rustproof your car!!!!! unless you plan to keep it more than 5 years.

It causes more harm than good, adds alot of weight, will disintegrate your speakers(since most places just drill a hole in the bottom of the door and sray like idiots, the oil soaks into your speaker and ruins them) I'm a professional installer I see it far too often..

If anything, just buy 2 cans of rubberized undercoat and do the inner fenders well, that's the only area most cars rust these days unless you have a scratch or a paint chip.

I plan on keeping my Fit for 20 years, hence my paranoia of keeping it nice and shiny.

You will be fine if you want to wait until the summer to do it, but you might as well get it over with if you are planning on getting it done anyways...one less thing to remember.

I did mine in january, I left it one night and got it back the next day.
I did this because they said it was better to let it dry before using it on the road. Specialy since it was raining that day, so it could have washed the rustproof off.
