N.A Fit a new car?

I see other discussions on the N.A Fit not having problems with new production, but now this article states the Fit coming here is a re-worked model with bigger engine and tran. And the chassis in the front is all new.

In Sweden the biggest engine is 85 HP. and the Jazz has a diff. shorter nose. Maybe this is why so few are being shipped here at first. Something about our need for speed and better front end crash tests.

Could be better, maybe not. Let's hope it's a better model all round.

The motor we are getting is the 1.5L Vtec L15A motor. A lot of other markets get the 1.3L I-DSI motor as well. But our L15A is not specific to our market.

The body changes are minor and only include larger front/rear bumpers. Nothing of the original chassis has been changed. That would cost way to much to make this car profitable in NA.

I read somewhere that the Fit in its current model has been around for about 3 years elsewhere. That makes me wonder whether there'll be a new model update in the next year or two.....anyone think its possible?
