Cr*p I have to wait 2 more months!

The dealer just told me I have to wait two more months! Has anyone in BC picked up their FIT yet?

When did you place your order?
Bad news for me too if it's close to mine

Ah, I see you ordered it from Richmond Honda, which has the biggest waiting list out of all the Vancouver area dealerships by far (had I ordered from Richmond, I would have been approximately 40-50). I was number 23 on the Carter Honda waitlist, will give them a call tomorrow.

So I dropped by Carter Honda, and I talked to the sales manager - system is closed on Sunday. But from his memory (which should be pretty good, he remembered my last name despite having never met me in person before), it should be here 3rd/4th week of May. I was the 2nd last order for the May delivery, the next batch would have been early July (which is your batch I assume)

Alabaster Silver, Sport. Also apparently the only sale at Carter to be under MSRP (so they claim).
Put down my deposit on April 20/21st (charged to my MC on the 23rd)

Now, I'm really glad I pre-ordered!!

Still don't see any Fits on the road. I've only seen 2 in the whole time that I've had my car (almost a month now!)

I guess Winnipeg suxs, they have them on the lots here. But wait, everyone here drives 1996 dodge caravans and shops at wal-mart, the Fit too hip for the 'Peg.

The sad thing is, with the July and later release dates, prices would have dropped by then for sure, not to mention the (possible) release of the Nissan Versa.

I bought mine 2 weeks ago almost. Now I feel like I'm going to be waiting!

Dealer told me at least end of May for an orange, probably no hope of getting a blue this summer. They're checking on a red for me. I'll know tomorrow.

I'm depressed! hehe

Well think about it this way. With the reduction of the GST beginning July 1st, you'll be saving money!!

True I will be saving on tax, but I am only paying tax on the difference between my 2003 XRS Matrix trade-in (The price difference between my old car and the new FIT LX was pretty small). I figure with the extra fuel I will burn on the Matrix from April 15 to July 15, I would have come out further ahead by getting the FIT earlier. The 1% GST is still pretty sweet. Another thing to consider is with the rising dollar it will be cheaper to get hard to find parts south of the border.

Don't forget if financing, the Honda interest rates are going up. How knows how long before they drop again.

The odd thing is Honda Canada's website shows the current financing rate at 6.9%. Where did you see/hear about this raise in the financing rate?

Notice where it says rate period, under the interest rate? It’s 6.9% for this month only. It was 6.95% last month. I contacted my dealer, and he told me that Honda raised their standard rate to 7.2%, and that they were giving a 0.3% discount on the Fit this month. Lease rates jumped even more.
