Hi, just joined this forum! I'm so excited. I'm picking up my new "FIT" this afternoon. I ordered the blue pearl colour! I can't wait to drive it.
I've only seen 2 on the road since I've been interested in them. I investigated my car choice very carefully as this is my 1st new car purchase. It boiled down to the Yaris, sedan & the Fit. I test drove them both this past Monday...and chose the FIT for the better handling/quality and fun spirit!
I can't believe I'm picking it up 5 days later! Someone had told me that the wait for one could be up to 3 months! I dealt with Classic Honda in Brampton and they just happened to have one blue one there. I guess I lucked out??? I purchased the LX model, but added on the keyless entry feature.
I'll be taking some pictures today & will try to post them. I'm still trying to come up with a name for my new fit.....any suggestions????? lol...

Well, I've picked her up...and she finally has a name! "Blue Jazz!" I love the name Jazz better than the fit...I think it suits her more! I love her soooooooooo much! What a fun ride. It will take me a while to get use to the functions etc...but that's the fun part too!

I'm so happy on my colour choice (Vivid Blue). I got a licence plate cover yesterday that allows you to personalize the plate cover...(Like scrabble letters that slide on)...so I personalized her with her name..."BLUE JAZZ".

I love the front headlights...(eyeballs!). Nice dash @ night too!

I was a little disappointed to find out that the car mats didn't come with this model....so I went out & got a cheapy pair @ Can. Tire for 15 bucks...I'll start saving now for the real Honda ones. That will be a perfect fit (no pun inteneded) then.

Taking her out for a long drive up North (Wasaga Beach) tomorrow. Should be fun! Good to give her a drive.

 

Walked into a leasing company on May 28, asked for a Black Sport MT, there were two here in Ottawa -- Vivid BLue and that copper colour. Picked up my new Fit on June 1, and within 20 minutes, I'd see another Vivid Blue! But he was just as thrilled as I am with the car. Since then I have seen a few here in Ottawa, one in Mtl, none in TO. I honk at them all, most of them honk back I've taken my Fit on the 401, it's a dream. I've driven the scary #7 near Tweed and drives in the country are back to being as wonderful as when I was a kid! I thought I'd get vanity plates "HissyFit", but I have old AIEEEEE plates from my red Sportage (remember the bayou ads), and they are getting more attention on the Fit than they ever did on the Sportage.

Hope you had a fabulous drive up to Wasaga Beach, and that there were tons of admirers on the road!

Keep us posted on the proper floor mats, and remember you've got to hook them on the little hidden hooks under the seat. Speaking of seats, have you noticed that nothing rolls under the front seats??? (I found six lipsticks and a missing cell phone under my Sportage seats).

"Blue Jazz" is a great name.

Glad to hear you were in/out in a metter of days. This makes me even more depressed that i'm still 2 months out on my red one.

 

Congratualtions -- hope you love yours as much as I love mine!

I knew they were coming to town last April, and after testing the Yaris (no stock at Toyota at the time), I went to the Honda dealer and test drove the Fit. Went home, called them back an hour later and made a down payment, and 3 days later drove it home -- I think they sold their initail inventory at my dealer within a week! How often does that happen? Perhaps with Honda, more often then they would like -- seeing that they could sell more if they have more in stock!
