Long drive...sort of.

went to seattle yesterday with my honda fit...from Burnaby.
i got it up to 150kms....but would not get to 160 even with my foot floored to the pedal.
anyone ever take their fit past 150kms.
Again dissapointed with gas milage
my co-worker gets close to 650kms on a full tank with her 06 yaris(manual)

thanks all

Maybe if you weren't flooring it , and speeding, you would have better gas miliage.

i guess im not so much complaining about the gas milage...maybe its because im not use to a small tank(10.8 gallons). My Van has a 72litre capacity.
also...i have owned 5 mustangs before, so im still getting use to less power as opposed to v8.
i once took my 02mustang gt at 225kms going to Edmonton( now..i thinks thats fast..)
thanks again.

Is your Fit automatic?!?!

I'm getting 650+ on the last 5 tanks, but I also pump 46L into my gas tank/filler neck. I tend to drive about 40km with the low fuel light on, pump, two clicks later it stops around 33-34 L and I can squeeze another 10 L if I'm patient, zero spilage.

I just came back from Christina lake yesterday (570kms) and haven't filled up yet. I could probably get over 600 by the time I fill. I don't like to run it all the way down. It is an Automatic.

I believe the tank has over a gallon left when the gas light comes on.

I also had a Mustang before this... so the mileage seems pretty good.

I might possibly perhaps maybe have done 179 (indicated) earlier this week on an unnamed road with the Valentine One standing guard...

I don't often engage in such silliness, so I'm usually getting great mileage!

Filling it up that much may not be a good thing hey. Now i haven't looked closely at the EVAP system, but if you're soaking your carbon canister, it may cause some problems.
