Just got the following update via email from CFRC email list:

Thank you to everyone who has supported us through the county approval process, today we are officially approved to operate as a race track in Central Florida!
This Friday March 27th we will be having our Friday Night - Crooked Drags' - $25 to enter only $5 for Spectators opens at 7pm!
We will be posting and sending out the full event schedule which will begin April 8th.
Please forward this email to all your friends - Have them sign up on our website or reply to this email. We hope to see you all out here this Friday!

I'll be there fo' sure!

** Thank you for those that came out, I saw a lot of great FITS out there!!!!

The track had a new spin to it, looked pretty good. Worked out well.

+1 for adding lights and getting a timer. I'm out of town 'til the 4th, so I won't be back there til April 10th. I'm assuming it's going to be an ongoing Friday night event?
And the barrels definitely made things interesting. Won't say I don't mind seeing them go either :-)

I'm not sure if this has been addressed but talking amongst the other drivers, they were a little disappointed with the course. Short, or not too challenging, etc. I know there are a good mix of beginners (like myself) & more seasoned auto-x'ers at this event, so it can't get too technical or tricky, but it'd be nice to maybe get a longer loop or something. Just my thoughts and what I was hearing from others.

Bummed I won't be out on the 4th since they're doing a drift demo too!

I saw a few kami speed guys on my last run out, any of them were you? Silver RSX, white JDM swapped Civic Type R and a red S2K?

I was the ONLY FIT! C'mon guys/gals!!!!! And for bringing a knife to a gun fight, I think I held my own pretty well, and being my first time out and all.

just curious... did everyone get around only 2 runs or was only 2 runs recorded.

 

I got around the track 7 times between 7 pm and 10:30pm. And that included a break for snacks/bathroom and the drift expo in between. That's an absolute bargain for $25 bucks I think!

You just gotta go early, and not mind sitting in the pit/staging area waiting, patience is worth it.

Test & Tune 1 mile course Wednesday nights, and Crooked Draggin' AUTO-X FRIDAY! I'll be out there on the 10th with the little underdog of a fit rolling with the S2k's, 'vettes, and other such machines!
