hey guys, my schedule is crazy because I work at a dealership (yes, honda), but my buddy and I both have sunday, sept 12th off and we wanted to get a little honda meet together. He's over on team integra, and i thought i would call out all central flordia fits. the idea is to meet in daytona/ormond beach area and run the ormond loop. it's about 33 miles, would take maybe about an hour if we drove it straight, but it's supposed to be a nice little drive and there are a couple places right on the beach we can stop for a shoot.

Here are the details, a month in advance!

Sept 12, @ 1pm
We'll meet at LuLu's Oceanside:
30 South Atlantic Avenue, Ormond Beach, FL

Once we eat, we'll head out on 40 West, then north on Beach, then follow the loop around. We'll wrap up near LuLu's again to say our farewell's. Should last a couple hours due to slow speed through the park area, but who's rushing a drive? See you all there!!

i'm down for this. I live right around the corner from there.

 

so, the teamintegra guys are having their meet on sept 11, so they're out i guess, but you guys wanna do this on the 12th still? i'll bring my camera. there's a park we can meet at (ross point park, on riverside just north of 5th st) and grill out if you want, or there's a winghouse down on A1A if we wanna make it easy.

 

How many people do you think would be there? If you get a decent group together i might turn out. Be nice to get with some fellow freaks

well, it's up to us to make the group "big enough" you all know any other fitfreaks you can pm and get in on this? i haven't really gotten to meet anyone in person yet. looks like there's 5 of us so far?

 

I'm game if my car is running! What's this Ormond loop thing? Are the roads sketchy, or should we be fine with not having to worry about man holes and speedbumps?

no worries on where it is, we'll all drive out together. i figure maybe we'll grab lunch first so we can meet up, then we'll go out for the drive and pics.

as far as the roads, they should be fine, we'll be driving through a state park for part of it, it has a couple fun twists from what I hear (haven't driven it myself yet), then when we head back down A1A, there's a parking lot ON the water we can pull over at for some pics too.

I actually asked my dad if he had ever heard of this ormond loop thing cuz he is always riding his motorcycle out that way. He said it's an awesome ride and also said the road should be fine. Sooo hopefully we are good on that. I'm gonna let mr boss man know I need off that day today.

I think I've talked two of my other fit buds to come out with me. One is stock for now, don't know if he will have any mods by the 12th seeing that he jot got it like a week ago. But hopefully they come anyways.

The Loop is totally safe for any fit - even Ray's old GD.
I take my bike on it all the time. It's not twisties like mountain roads but you can make some fun out of it - but some spots are narrow so keep it in mind and there's always a lot of bikers.
I'll definitely check this out with you guys. Haven't been to a fit meet in over a year. Glad to see one closer to my neck of the woods.

Also, I'd suggest Lulu's for food. Just a suggestion. Good food and a nice big patio.

Didn't notice if a time/start location was setup yet. I'll keep checking back for details...
