LED lights in cargo area...

I want to add 3 small led light panels to the cargo area. I would like to tap off of the one cargo light that is there now. Are the any concerns doing this that I should be aware off? also, do you think I should run a fuse between the tapped in portion and the other 3 lights? Thanks, Joe.

Make sure to protect the wire well and size the wire to the original fuse.

If you wanted to use smaller wire you could put an inline fuse that is appropriate for the wire between the existing light and the new wiring.

Yeah an extra fuse wouldn't hurt, the lights are probably on a 10A fuse which is pretty lol. I once straight up melted a wire when installing a light into another car and accidentally shorted it out.

Which gen Fit do you have? I just installed a LED strip into my GD. I stuck the wires through the driver side seatbelt hole, fished it out at the strut mount hatch, and finally pushed it to the stock lamp housing. The strip is glued to the cargo cover and can be disconnected if I need to remove it.
