AC compressor clutch
AC compressor clutch
Hello
2 weeks ago my car started to make this loud rattling noise.
I took it to a mechanics and he told me it was the Belt Tensioner and asked me 400 + taxes which I declined because I knew I could do it myself
I went on Rockauto and bought the part with a new belt, went out today and changed the tensioner.
While I was doing that I spun the Ac compressor Clutch pulley and it made a very loud rattling sound and release some black powder so at that point I know the problem were not only the tensioner and probably not the tensioner at all.
I replaced my belt and started my car and yes, there is still this loud noise
Does not anyone here in North Jersey has the knowledge and tools to change a AC compressor ?
Because from what I see, it would be best to change the whole thing and even tho I am good with my hand I do not think I can handle the electricity and Freon part...
And I do not have a garage.
Also I do have the money to get that fixed by a professional, where i live you can not do anything without a car, I am in a desperate situation
I will take any help
Thanks
Mia
