First Gen Stalling Issue

Newbie here with a 2008 base. No mods, 183K automatic. I searched through the appropriate forums, but didn't find the issue I am experiencing posted. My Fit likes to stall out when engine is cold. It starts, and then will make 10-50 feet, or even down the block, then dies. After restarting it 2 or 3 tries, it will finally stay running, and I can finally resume driving. After warming up, it seems happy for the rest of the trip. Not throwing any codes. If it sits for a few hours and engine gets cold, the same problem can occur. During warmer weather, this is much less infrequent. The alternator was replaced 2 years ago along with the battery. Just curious if anyone else has experience similar issues. I was thinking maybe a dirty air flow sensor or cracked vacuum line somewhere? idk. Thank you in advance for reading, and apologies if this has been covered.

Tight Valves

Have the valves been checked for proper clearance at all? Your Fit's behavior matches what happens when the valves get way too tight in clearance. Much better to adjust the valves before they burn.

They have not, and, after finding some other posts here and on other sites, I plan to do so soon. Thank you!

I'm hoping you'll check back to tell if you notice improved performance and higher mpg's after the valves are adjusted.

Also clean the throttle body and do thorough idle learn procedure. Check the map sensor and clean if needed.

Follow Up

I adjusted the valves this past weekend. Both the exhaust and intake valves on each cylinder were out of spec. I replaced the coil packs and dropped in new spark plugs. I also replaced a filthy air filter. I bought this car for $500 a week before, and had only driven it a few times, but the improvement and performance was noticeable and significant. Thank you for reading and for your suggestions.
