pressure washer and product

hey everyone, my fit isn't coming until between today and sept. 2nd which is making me go insane and it's going to be my first brand new car and i really want to keep it in the best shape possible

i remembered my neighbor was washing his dirt bikes with a power washer and saw how it worked really well in getting the grim off that a regular microfiber towel can't, so i wanted to ask will a power washer do the trick? and will it damage the paint in anyway because its that powerful?

and i'm thinking of getting some car care products but i'm not sure what type of wax i should get. i was thinking of maybe meguairs or some of the products i read in other threads, oh and whats a good brand of spray/foam for the shiny tire effect?

For the best tire shine go 2 an auto parts store n get a can of Stoners "More Shine" that's for the tires. it does wonders! Doesn't wash off either cuz its not water based.

Stoner More Shine Tire Coating is the fastest, easiest way to make your tires look their best

Pressure washers are a VERY bad idea for car washing. If the nozzle is not adjusted right, the water jet can actually cut right through the paint. I have cuts in the asphalt of my driveway from the first time that I used a pressure washer on some oil spots.

Yeah! I would rethink the pressure washer idea. That can damage hard surfaces such as walls, stone it would most likely not be good for the Fit paint. Just get a good sprayer with different options on it and that will work the best. I love Mequires car soap and waxes. Also invest in microfiber towels and an Absorber (can find at Auto Zone or Wal-Mart) - the best for taking off the water after a hand wash. Just make sure to keep your cleaning materials free from dirt and grim so that you don't scartch any surfaces. Also make sure to wash the lower body of the car last and use a different towel than for the rest of the car.

Hope this helps. I am sure the guys have even more helpful hints.

hey i wanna thank u guys for the advice and i will definetly go aroudn looking at different products for the best result

i don't kno the pressure washer seemed liek a good idea at first, but i guess its too powerful and i could do serious damage to my fit (if it ever arrives)

but yeah i will definetly look around for products that u guys mentioned along with other ones in other threads to keep my fit in good shape
