anyone's fit have rough paint from the factory?

i just waxed my car for the first time today and the whole passanger side of my car feels like it has over spray on it. i was never around anyone painting and you cant even see it, the paint still looks good just super rough think the dealer will cover that under the bumper to bumper? have them buff that shit out.

I don't know about your paint since I cannot see it, but I know that mine is not as smooth looking as I think that it should be.

have you tried claybarring it? i claybarred my fit the weekend i got it, and it was silky smooth after, maybe it just has some crap on the paint left on from shipping or storing...

yes, try claybarring. it sounds like your car was in the bodyshop
getting some delivery related damage fixed while there was another
car getting painted nearby where you got the overspray.

I had the same feel on the left fender. It wasn't visible, but I could feel the roughness with my hand. I also have overspray on the windshield, clearcoat since there isn't any color to it.

I claybarred the fender (along with the rest of the car) last weekend, and the roughness is gone. I use the TurtleWax ICE liquid claybar. I'm going to try acetone on the windshield before I try anything else.
