Sunscreen REMOVAL Pls Help!

Hey guys, just curious what i can do about my situation. A friend of mine used some sun screen (that new neutragena 80spf crap) and after applying it touched the black b-pillar and I didn't notice until i washed my car. Anyway...I can't seem to get the white finger prints off. I tried using ICE detailer, then i washed and waxed my car....still there...soooooo now what? Please help if you know what will remove it.

I'd be a bit weary about using goo gone because that eats through plastic. I'd try a de-greaser like simple green on a towel or perhaps try clay bar.

Good luck!

try GOO-GONE rather than goof-off. goo-gone is orange oil based, where goof-off is solvent based. goof-off will eat through plastic, clear coat, painted plastic.....scary!

btw, goof-off does have it's place, though...it kicks ass if you use it safely!

Thanks for the suggestions guys, i just used dish soap followed by a quick wash and wax of the area...looks like it got most of the sunscreen off, next i'm going to try simple green if there is any residue left. I'll let you guys know how it looks tomorrow.

The black on the pillars is just stick-on vinyl with your paint color underneath.

If all else fails, you could just peel it off and replace it or spray it flat black or peel it all off and have them the same color as the rest of the car.

Or, you could buy some aftermarket covers for the pillars. There are some on ebay in stainless and chrome. The stainless would look nice.
