Hey guys:

when i painted my calipers and drums for my fit a few weeks ago.
i didnt notice until a couple of days ago...that i had overspray go into my fit as well. my paint now feels rough on certain areas(fender, hood etc). I'ved tried everything from:
Eagle1 nano wax
Krystal glow
meguiars....and still no luck.
My brother said that i can never get rid of the overspray anymore.
Im so #1$%^&8 off ...can anyone help me or have any ideas.
I thought about bringing it back to the dealership...but they might not do anything since i caused it.

Clay bar. I just dealt with some overspray myself.

I had a 3 stage wax done, with clay bar included. I have a black car, so white specks really show up. It got most of the overspray off.

If I wasn't lazy and did it myself, i would have got all of it off.

why didn't you take the calipers and stuff off the car before painting em?! GOSH!

 

You gotta be uber careful when you're doing something like painting calipers. I did my Tiburon's calipers with a white high temp spray. Bagged up and taped over everything that I could get overspray on. Came out fine.

Taking the calipers off would be a PITA. Especially if you disconnect the brake lines. You'd end up having to drain the brake system and then refill and bleed. Not a super-difficult task, but it is a PITA. It would be the most correct way to get it done... you don't have to worry about overspray, and you can take the pads out to keep them unpainted.
