Do i have a dead battery?

Hiya guys, just a quick question.

i tried to start the car today but it would start (just made some really bad buzzing noise). every time i press on the breaks the dash lights blink. also the windows roll up and down slow.

Certainly a weak battery, at least.

Have you checked the battery connections for corrosion and tightness?

If the battery is more than 4 years old, I'd just replace it. A lot of weird stuff happens to modern electronic-controlled cars when the batteries get weak...

the indicator, or green eye, only shows one cell and it shows voltage not amperage so it is only a gimmick not a diagnostic tool

I'm having battery issues, and the indicator says its fine as well. I'm going to get it replaced this week.

I know it's a battery issue because a booster pack gets the car started every time.

Whenever I needed a new batt. for my '82 Celebrity I did not buy the book
rec. batt. but the biggest in the 72 series and bent the tray so it would fit. (Long cold winters).

Anybody measure how large, dimension wise, will go in a Fit tray?
