I just got my windows tinted a little over a week ago and the guys left some wipe marks on all my windows. It looks like they got whatever water/mixture it was on the inside of my windshield and wiped it around....

I heard we arent supposed to use ammonia to clean tinted windows

 

I have a streak about 4" long vertically and 1/4" wide. I am afraid to use window-cleaner and paper towel because it might **** it up worse lol

 

I used invisible glass on my tint and it didn't do anything to it. On the label I think it also states that it's safe on tint.

 

Use Armor All window cleaner. No ammonia

if u want THE BEST window and tint cleaner in THE WORLD, go to KRAGEN or PEP BOYS or any other automotive store and get urself a CAN of Stoners invisible glass. This is ammonia free and leaves no streaks whatsoever! i've been using it on my tinted fit for 2.5 years and i have been using it for my mom's tinted camry for 8 years and have never been disappointed. it's the best, hands down. Use newspapers instead of paper towels to clean it cuz it leaves no streaks nor any fibers laying around.

 

I use windex for cars and it works quite wonderfully.

 

Newspapers don't leave ink?

Do not use news paper on tint, it will leave fine scratches in it.

 

I use somewhat old haynes shirts. They don't leave any crap behind

 

use your favorite window cleaner that does not contain ammonia in it and a microfiber cloth... been doing that on my tint in my van for 5+ years and have no issues with scratches at all and am doing the same with my fit now.
