safe window cleaner for tint

is armor all amonia free window cleaner safe for tint? i think i have suntek tint if that makes any difference. i havent cleaned the inside of the windows since i had the tint done a few months ago because they told me i can only use dawn/water mixture in a squirt bottle but they used that to clean/put on my tint and it looked like crap, swirls all over from it. if amonia free armor all window cleaner isnt safe what is? (id really like to be able to use the armor all since ive already got it). thanks. (i tried doing a search and hear that stoners is good? couldnt find any info on armor all amonia free.)

I usually use stoner's invisible glass or Surf City Glass cleaner as im 100% positive they are tint safe.

As long as the amor all says tint safe on the bottle you should be ok though.

+1 for stoners. Or buy the spray cleaner from Costco/Sam's club. That's the stuff the tint shop recommended and is great

yeah at costco we sell the spray. its in a arosol can, i forgot what its called. but as long as it has no amonia you should be fine. i usually use that stuff or water and a microfiber towel.

Good old Windex and paper towels on my tinted V-cool windows. No streaks, no problems for 2 years.

I personally found using a microfiber towl and water does the trick very well. It leaves no streaks and makes the windows very clean.

Yes microfiber (warning: Microfiber towels bought from Wal-Mart are not the same, way too rough and leave swirls. Purchase those at an auto place only) will clean a window after washing really nice. I have been using a new Windex product for autos especially made for tinted windows.
It seems to work pretty well.

Ive always used a drop of Dawn and water in a spray bottle.
Shake it up before you use it.

Damn, you're using Prima stuff? I have the Amigo, Slick and Hydro so far...love all of them! Back on the window topic, my favorites for glass cleaners are Stoners IG, 1Z glass cleaner and Clearkote Quick Shine!

Anything without ammonia, as it the acid will eat away at the tint film.

As stated, Stoner's Invisible Glass pretty much can't be beat; and it's tint-safe.

yah, you should seriously try Prima Clarity as your window cleaner.
it beats out Stoners from my experiment.

also use the correct glass MF towels DetailersParadise sells. that
also makes a huge difference. much better than Griot's glass MF.
