Anyone with experience with Window Tint film and dogs licking the window? Does the tint film withstand the saliva? I plan on having my dog in the back seat and hell be sticking this head out the window.

 

Yes, and dog snot as well! Just be careful what you use to clean it. Windex ruins tint.

 

The Saliva won't break down the tint film though?

 

I have a dog that I occasionally take to the vet. He did the same thing and it never damaged my tint on my truck or Fit. I clean it with some LCD screen cleaner I got from Fry's.

 

I get dog spit and dog snot on my windows all the time. I don't think it does anything to the tint. But then I try to clean it up when i get the chance. im sure if you leave the stuff on there for months at a time it might do something. But that would be nasty to have a big streak of dog snot sit there for months lol.

 

my tint is fine. i have 2 standard poodles weighing 80+ pounds each, and no problemo..

 

Thanks for the input, guess I don't have to worry. Anyone know what tint% is typically for SUV tinted rear windows? I'm thinking either 5% or 15% in the rear and 40% or 50% in the front.
