I need to get my windows tinted. Does anyone have a reputatable tint shop I can go to? Preferably in Brooklyn. I see cars in NY with maybe 35% or 20% in the rear which is over the limit for NYC. Does anyone ever get ticketed for this? Maybe the police does not enforce it as much since so many cars are tinted in that percentage. Also heard when you take off the tints, it will mess up your defrosters in the back. Any thoughts?

 

It is true that you can damage the defroster when you take the tint off. All you need to do is be legal on that window and you wont even have to worry about it.

I live in upstate New York and they do ticket you for tint. Funny thing the shop that does tinting also tints police cars. Which proves anyone in governmanet is above the law.

I got my car and checked out tinting. The sales person says it is according to what my registration classifies the vehicle, sedan no tint, suburban can tint back windows and rear window. Got registration classified as a sedan. Kia Rondo is classified as a suburban.

 

I should probably hold back on tinting my window since there is no suggestion on a good tint shop in the area. I rather not tint it than to have someone mess it up.
