I live in Florida around Gainesville and just bought a 2011 Fit...loving it by the way. I would like to get my windows tinted, and I'll be honest, I know NOTHING about cars. Any suggestions would be great. Where to go? How much should it cost? What percentage tint should I get? How do I know I wont' get bubbles under the tint? Can I have a sticker on the outside of my window or will they make me take it off?

I had mine done when I got mine over here in the uk and it was £120 for the full car (other than windscreen), rear windows are limo black as its called over here and the front ones are to the legal limit over here which is 20% tint I think. Also the bubbles you can get them out easily with a credit card and a some sort of rag, material round the card and push them

Dealer quoted outsource at 140, daughter had her car done for 90 by installer in his off time.
Florida law no tint front, but can do strip down to line at about the mirror, however even the cops here have tint on front, 3m makes a clear that is supposed to cut heat, crystalline.
If you like changing color and bubbles go generic but if you want a long lasting good job go brand name with guarantee by installer and manufacturer.
I will try to get her installer in two weeks when we visit daughter north of Gainesville.
