switchblade key - cheap alternative

i know that TL key mod is a really cool thing to have, but the price of TL key is ridiculously high, i found this on ebay that you can transfer the chip over w/out programming, probably not as appealing as the OEM TL key but i don't think it's a bad idea, what do you guys think?

The real TL key is only about $30 more. The programming is nothing really, just stick the key in, press lock/unlock 4 times. Not bad as an alternative I guess.

The great thing about this alternative is it allows you to combine the keyless entry fobs with the key holder. Those of us that added keyless to our base fits have fobs. I don't mind the fob but some have complained.

tagged for interest.

I'm still debating on whether I like the style or not...
If anyone else jumps on this let us know how it works out.

Ehhh for $20-30 more I'll stick with OEM

Nice alternative though for those who don't share my views

what is the cost of getting one of these 'cut' from the dealership? I was checking these out the other day and it was intriguing.

I think you can take apart your existing key and put it in?
