DIY: Bolt on Projector Lens
#44
I have done this mod to my car also. I think it turned out great it may not be like a tsx or s2000 projector but for ease of installation and having high and low its not bad, by the way I have performed a retro in my other cars so I know whats involved

Alright everyone, it's done!!
Here's the DIY for the Bolt-On Projector Lens that i'm selling. After I installed it, I can truly say, that it's REALLY easy!! I did the entire job in 2 hours...including dissembling the headlight!!
Firstly, follow this thread on dissembling the headlight:
https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-...headlight.html
1) here's the headlight without the lens
2) you have to remove the bulb holder spring and the reflector...thingy???
You have to remove it from the back end.
3) Here's the headlight now:
4) remove all the spin locks, springs and washers from the projector unit. REMEMBER WHERE THEY GO!!!
5) Find out which side is the top side of the projector.
6) Feed all the wires through the FRONT of the headlight so that the Projector unit faces forward.
7) Put the locking tab back in place. IT ONLY GOES ONE WAY!
8) Now, put back all the spin locks, springs, washers everything IN THE RIGHT ORDER!
9) Guess what..... YOU'RE DONE!!
EASY!!!
Here's a pic of the Halo on:

You can replace them normally. It just uses a normal D2S bulb.

Hey just some questions for fit of rage. I did not get my kit from
the group buy I purchaced them somewhere else my question to you
is when someone asked about where the projectors are from
your answer is a FX45 I'm just wondering because my projector is
the same as your DIY projector and it is by no means a FX45 projector
it may be like it but it did not actually come off that car and my other
question is about the bulb replacement you say it's a normal d2s bulb
but thats not what is in the projector, it's specific to the housing
and if you have to replace it maybe you can put d2s bulbs in and it will
work but thats not what's in there right now the d2s bulb doesn't not
even have the same connection maybe I'm just missing something
Please educate me I'm not trying to step on anyone's toe's just wanting
to find out
