So when I put my coilovers on the other day I couldn't figure out when to put the adjusting knobs for the dampening on the front struts. That big plastic piece where the windsheild wipers are, hangs over the top of the strut so I can't put the hex keys in. So rather than take my coilovers off I just want to take that plastic peice off. I tried today but it wasn't gonna move. Any tips on how to get it off.

 

on note (ghettoboy247) i trimmed the adjuster. His were about 3" too long and ran into the same problem you have. Mind you this is on an 09.

^^^I'm not sure that will work cause the ones in the back have to go all the way in to actually adjust anything. I'm afriad if I cut them down they wont reach anything. Thanks for the idea though. I will probably just try harder tomorrow. I just hate when you have to pull on parts to get them off. It's seems like I break a clip of plastic screw everytime I take something plastic apart on my Fit.
