Automatic wing mirror turn in

Hi guys,

I'm new here. I used to own a Civic Type-R and loved it but the wife and I are expecting so we've changed to much more family friendly Jazz Sport. It has electric wing mirrors with a button that allows them to fold into the car.

I was wondering if there was a way re-wiring/programming them so that they automatically open and close with car electrics on/off instead of having to press the button everytime.

Living on a busy main road would make this VERY useful!

Cheers guys,

Mark.

Me thinks there's a way, but I don't know how and most people on FF don't have those mirrors cause they're really expensive to add. Bump and good luck!

hi

if you look at the schematic, it only needs a ground wire to activate it folding in, what i done was connect it to my hand brake line.

so if handbrake is up, the winkers fold in, and down they fold out.

i dont have the manual handy so cant remember the wire colours.
but it isnt a big job to re wire.

good luck.
