Windshield Washer
Windshield Washer
Hi guys,
I'm new here
. I 'd like to know to prevent wiper blade from 'wiping' while I pull the washer? The blade keeps wiping before the fluid could even spray properly onto the glass. fine sand(dirt) splashed by the car ahead after rain may cause scratch when wiped with no fluid.
Any advise for using the washer correctly? tried to keep pulling and let the washer spray longer but blade is wiping even faster; this still cause early damage to the surface in long term. Anyone has any DIY, like spliting the wiping process as we can use the 'MIST' to wipe. Or adding an additional switch just for the washer to spray? Please share the wiring layout if there's any. TQ

Hi, Kentris
Thanks for your input. Is that mean, normal standard setting the wiper should not wipe more than once after spray, as mine keep on wiping whenever I spray and speed increased to full speed wiping if left for more than 2 seconds spray. Should I go to Honda to claim it while still in warranty. FYI, I asked SC on my 1K service about this problem and they said it was normal...your testimonial would be an advantage for me. Can I ask for new pair of blade as warranty claim as it is now leaving water tracks after wipe as my car is only 2.5 months old.

Well if you hold it down for more than 1 second, the wipers will tend to wipe more than once.
However if it's just a quick spray then it should wipe once.
When you activated your spray wipe, if you like hold it all the way then naturally your wipers will increase in speed as you're spraying more water on the car windscreen. So it's all normal.
Not too sure on the wiper blades as part of warranty, you might be able to. I just bought a set of BOSCH spoiler wipers for mine
. Looks cool yet subtle looking
