i want a new battery...but...

I see my headlights dimming and the electronics being a little less dim. i may be wasting my money, but y not. ive been lookin around for the battery size/type for the fit, cant figure it out. Anyone know what it is or where i can find out? and also, im looking for top-of-the-line battery, what brand do you recomend? and dont tell me nuclear :P

Try a 51R, in the brand of your choice.

you are wasting your time. if anything, upgrade teh alternator if possible.

I've read here that you can avoid the lights dimming, etc. by upgrading the battery ground wire to a thicker gauge.

i knew someone would think im wasting my time -.- but i think changing the alternator is a bit too far, but ill keep that in the back of my mind.

changing the ground wire shoudn't be too hard, going to poke around and see if i can follow it and if it will be too hard to do, and to figure out what the current gauge is. as for the stabilizer, i googled/wikied it, looks sophisticated O.o i dont think i want to touch that...so the wishlist:

thicker gauge earthing/ground wire
51R optima battery (for future reference, its also called D51R)
